Towards Transformational (Spiritual) Economics

A new paradigm of human collective welfare — one that moves beyond material values toward the values of “to be” and “to become.”

The experience of economic and social development shows that trillions of dollars have been spent in the name of economic growth and the fight against poverty. In practice, the use of these funds has failed to diminish poverty effectively, and the social indicators accompanying humanity today continue to deteriorate.

In a world where financial resources are abundant, it is clear that unless new solutions are found, humanity will confront the same challenges of the past. The only way to implement new solutions — and to chart different roads for the transformation of humanity — is to ascend to higher levels of human consciousness.

A new paradigm needs to move away from purely material values, often associated with to know, to have, to do and to act, toward the adoption of more spiritual and human values — associated with to be and to become, and with a comprehensive process of human self-realization. It is impossible that we, as human beings, provide for our future material and spiritual wellbeing without it being spiritual economics that provides the foundation of our lives in this new millennium.
