Neljor Sa
Neljor Sa is the union not only of body, mind and soul, but of humanity, all sentient beings and the living Earth. Proposed by Alfredo Sfeir-Younis, it rests on a demanding premise: nature is a living being and not a thing, and our healing and the planet's are one process rather than two. This initiative gathers the news, publications and teachings of the Institute as they emerge across the ZIHT ecosystem.

Yoga is not a collection of postures, mantras and mudras. These are instruments — needles that provoke a shift in awareness — but no amount of technical perfection makes a yogi. Yoga is a state of inner being, and when it is reached it changes vision, perception, attitude, habit and way of life.
That state does not stop at the union of body, mind and soul. It extends to other human beings, to sentient beings, and to nature — to every form and manifestation of life. Understood this way, yoga is also a collective condition, carrying attributes of connection, harmony, interdependence, solidarity, cooperation, balance, love, compassion and justice.
This collective dimension opens fully only when we recognize that nature is a living being and not a thing: a being with energy, form, intelligence, memory and consciousness. This is the Law of Life. Without earth consciousness fully expressed, there is no yoga.
Neljor Sa takes its name from Tibetan — neljor, yoga; sa, the earth, the land, the feminine. It is a practice of healing in both directions at once. The planet needs healing from climate change, the loss of biodiversity, polluted waters and destroyed forests. Human beings need healing from suffering, anger, ego, greed and the pursuit of power. In Neljor Sa these are not two tasks: we cannot be healed while the Earth is not being healed at the same time. This is the mutuality of life.
The practice rests on several spiritual laws — interdependence (I am because you are, and you are because I am), feminine energy, correspondence (the inner is like the outer, the outer like the inner), and karmic formation. Practised together, they bring us to a plain realization: we are nature, and nature is us.
What makes this realization possible is the expansion of Container Consciousness — the bridge that holds and supports the individual and collective dimensions of every interaction we have with the natural world. Neljor Sa works on the five elements of life — water, earth, fire, wind and space — through mantra, meditation, silence, mindfulness, connection with deities, right action, alchemy and ethics. As Container Consciousness widens, so does our capacity to remain in continuous exchange with the consciousness of all living forms.
From there, the work turns outward. What is gained in practice must change the nature and scope of human activity — economics, politics, social life, institutions. This form of yoga is the spinal cord of sustainable development. Where the disconnection from nature persists, anomaly follows, and the meaningful forms of interdependence are disregarded.
Everything is yoga, and yoga is everything. Neljor Sa is the yoga of all forms of life, as One.
