The art of decision making rests mainly on the value system which dominates today’s societal consensus at any given point in time. Public policy — whether economic, social, environmental or institutional — is never value-neutral. Yet the values embedded in most public policy making today are almost exclusively material and economic in character, to the near-total exclusion of the spiritual and human dimensions of collective life.
The Planetary Institute of Spirituality and Public Policy exists to close that gap — convening policymakers, spiritual leaders and civil society to design public policy proposals that are explicitly grounded in human values and spirituality, alongside economic and technical criteria.
